I just love this:

Senators Consider Rebates for Retirees

Senate Democrats Mull Adding Retirees to Rebate Plan, Extending Jobless BenefitsWASHINGTON (AP) — Retirees living off Social Security are frustrated that they won’t get tax rebate checks through a bipartisan economic stimulus package before the House. Senate Democrats Friday began efforts to include them.

They’re gonna have look for another word besides “rebate” like, say, “bonus”. Yep, they’ve lived long enough to get to a place where they feel that they can take from workers, both living and yet to live. And they’re frustrated at the idea that they might not get their share.

Nice!

Gee whiz! I’m retired, 68 years old, did my work, paid my dues, tired of bullshit, leave me alone, shut the fuck up and let me die (in a few decades) in private and loving peace with friends that I choose (emphasis “I choose”). Maybe I’m a “libertarian” or something. Who cares! “Tag me, bag me,” and rebate that!

  2. Can anyone say Entitlement Mentality? This is what happens to a once sure footed society which has forgotten what it means to be individually responsible; instead relying on handouts rather than looking at the resources available through your own efforts.
