Granny,

I think it may be you who is pigeonholing me. It is true that I take some swipes at "progressives" but if you've spent much time on my blog you'll realize that A) I'm not a Republican, B) I have big problems with the GOP, C) I usually only critisize liberals for unproductive hyperbole and vitriol, and D) I don't look at the world in an us v them context.

I am, however, a strident, libertarian leaning, constitutional constructionist. And I'm damned opinionated. That, however, never gets in the way of me appreciating anyone - left, right, blue, pink, what have you.

So take the time and read my last 60 or so posts. I'll bet you'll find that I'm really rather ecumenical in my critisism.

And then cut me some slack. I've seen a bit of screed from your hand. Nes Pas?

And my point above was that the Kelo decision seems not nealy as big a deal to progressives as I assumed it would. That's all.

I am a liberal progressive who has been against this one long before the ruling came down.

This is a serious issue that comes on the day we find out the Pentagon wants to own all our children's information and all you want to do is take swipes at liberals?

Dave, where does this stop? You need to stop acting like we are the enemy. We drink the same water, breathe the same air and drive the same roads you do.

At the end of the day we all want to be secure in our homes and possessions. Think about it.

I'm curious to see the majority rationale before I complete my thoughts on Kelo. I will say that the decision is hardly over a new issue. Bush and his buddies used eminent domain in Texas to build a new stadium for the Rangers. I clearly don't like it when this happens politically, but I'm not willing to say it is a bad legal decision until I read more into it.

That said, I don't really look to the IJ for leadership on low-income issues.
